We all sin.  But all sins - big or small - can be forgiven if only we ask
for it with a contrite heart.  Reconciliation, commonly called "con-
fession" or "penance", is a sacrament of healing.  It's a gift from God
that allows us to strengthen our relationship with him and celebrate his
forgiving love.  All it requires is to be sorry for your sins and intend not
to sin again.
Children typically celebrate their first confession at age 7-8 prior to
First Holy Communion.  Adults typically make their first confession
through the RCIA process.
If it has been years since your last confession and you don't know
what to do, simply let the priest know. He will guide you through the
process which is not difficult.
Reconciliation is offered each Saturday during Eucharistic Adora- tion
following the Saturday 4:00 PM Mass or by appointment. To ar- range a
hospital or home visit or an appointment call the Parish Office 256-6498
.
If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them;
if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.
